We're really late!

Many years we have left town before Memorial Day.  Today is June 20th and we're still trying to figure out when and exactly where do we go.  That's one advantage of owning a motor home...you can get in and move it whenever you want.

We know we're going to Ohio to see Linda's sister's family.  There will hopefully be a new baby, when we arrive.  Linda's nephew, Robert, and his wife, Kim, are pregnant with their first child.

 Linda missed Kim's baby shower in June, because Linda wasn't feeling well.  She had planned to fly to Ohio over the Father's Day weekend to attend the shower, but didn't feel up to it and didn't want to make anybody else sick, if she was contagious.  Turns out Linda had a reaction from flea bites and medicine along with a thyroid issue.  Everything is under control now and we're looking forward to seeing the new addition to the family in July (due date the 16th).

Usually we have rough plans for our trip by early spring each year.  This year the rough plans are just coming together now.  Besides Ohio, we're trying to figure out where to go.  We don't have much time before or after the Ohio portion of the trip, so we'll have to make it quick.

Plan is to leave Tuesday, July 8 after Linda's hair appointment (gotta have a great "do" to travel).  We'll take a couple of days to drive to near Ashville, NC.  What's next?

How does BBQ, music, crafts, bike & car show sound?  Linda found a festival on our way to Ohio that looks like fun and a friend has attended and recommended. Carolina West Ribfest.


 




We'll camp on the festival grounds at the West North Carolina Ag Center in Fletcher.  After three days at the festival we'll be ready to move.

After the festival we'll head toward Ohio with another stop along the way, but we don't know where.  Linda is doing research on another place she'd like to go.

Arrival in Ohio should be around July 20 or 21, but those dates are just a guess.  We'll definitely be in Ohio July 23 through August 3.  Linda will fly home after August 3 to resume her baby squeezing and sitting.   Tim may be joined by his brother, Craig, for the return trip home.  Tim will be home before August 15.
